UBQ Materials is a sustainable materials company based in Israel. Founded in 2023, they have developed UBQ™, the first thermoplastic made entirely from unsorted household waste, including organics and unrecyclable materials. This bio-based thermoplastic can be used in existing manufacturing processes and is already being implemented across industries as a substitute for oil-based resins.
By using UBQ™, manufacturers are able to divert waste from landfills and incineration, reducing the net carbon footprint of their products and supporting a circular economy. UBQ™ is UL 2809 Certified for containing 100% recycled content and is fully recyclable at the end of its life. It also prevents more greenhouse gas emissions than it creates, thanks to its waste diversion capabilities. The advanced conversion process used by UBQ Materials results in a homogenous and consistent material that is cost competitive with conventional materials. Additionally, UBQ™ conserves finite natural resources and contains at least 50% bio-based content, making it a sustainable choice for companies looking to reduce their environmental impact.
