Evrnu is a US-based textile recycling company founded in 2014. They specialize in converting textile waste into new recyclable fibers using their patented Nucycl® technology. Their first product, Nucycl® lyocell fiber, is made from cotton-rich waste and discarded consumer fashion items and performs as well as, if not better, than virgin fiber. Their regenerative fiber can be recycled again and again to make new products, reducing the amount of textile waste and the negative impact on the environment.
Evrnu's innovation offers a sustainable solution for the fashion industry, with their fibers being used in various applications such as apparel, intimate apparel, outdoor/activewear, footwear, industrial, workwear, and home textiles. Their first commercial manufacturing facility is set to be completed in 2024, with the ability to manufacture 17,000 tons of Nucycl® fiber per year, reducing cotton waste and avoiding landfill gas emissions, with a carbon footprint of -8,000 to -41,000 CO2e.
