Community Wood Recycling is a nationwide network of social enterprises dedicated to the recycling and re-use of wood waste. With a mission to protect the environment and combat unemployment, they have been operating since 1998. By collecting wood waste from various companies, they stock their extensive network of reclaimed timber stores. Offering a wide range of wood products for sale, they also provide the option to commission bespoke creations.
Through their efforts, Community Wood Recycling not only saves carbon emissions but also provides valuable work and training opportunities for disadvantaged individuals. In 2021 alone, they supported 406 local unemployed people and sustained 259 jobs. By rescuing and re-using waste timber, they contribute to a more sustainable future while simultaneously addressing social challenges.
